Job summary

Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI) in New York City seeks an IT Security Specialist to support day‑to‑day IAM operations, focusing on provisioning, authentication, and role assignments within Microsoft Entra ID and related platforms. You will assist with user and group management, licensing, and incident response to keep services stable.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least four years in IAM or IT operations, with strong documentation and collaboration skills to support

Qualifications

Minimum: bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and four years of full‑time experience related to projects and policies.
Knowledge of identity and access management concepts and operational support practices.
Experience troubleshooting identity‑related issues and user access problems.
Familiarity with ticketing systems and enterprise support environments.
Ability to document processes clearly and escalate issues appropriately.

Responsibilities

Assist with standard IAM procedures, document work clearly, support end users and internal stakeholders, and help maintain security and access controls across enterprise systems;
Contribute to ongoing operations while developing deeper technical experience in identity, security, and infrastructure support;
Handle special projects and initiatives as assigned.
