Job summary

Alcon is seeking a logistics-oriented professional to support warehouse and distribution operations on site in Johns Creek, GA. You will assist with inventory management, space optimization, and shipment coordination while maintaining accurate records and complying with SOPs.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma, fluent English, and at least 3 years of relevant experience; a bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering or related field and Lean/Six Sigma familiarity are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform business support or clerical tasks to contribute to efficient warehouse and distribution operations.
  • Assist in optimizing storage space and material flows for safety and efficiency.
  • Manage inventory and coordinate shipments while maintaining accurate records.
  • Follow established procedures with limited decision-making authority.
  • Adhere to GxP regulations by following SOPs and maintaining documentation and quality control.
  • Commit to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

Are you ready to join us? This role is part of Alcon's Supply Chain function, a team that manages the logistics, inventory management, and supply chain analytics for Alcon's industry leading products to ensure products are delivered efficiently and effectively so that people can see brilliantly.

In this role, a typical day will include:
  • Perform business support or clerical tasks to contribute to efficient warehouse and distribution operations
  • Assist in optimizing storage space and material flows for safety and efficiency
  • Manage inventory and coordinate shipments while maintaining accurate records
  • Follow established procedures with limited decision-making authority
  • Adhere to Good Practice (GxP) regulations by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training
  • Meet individual job requirements and contribute to the overall compliance of the organization
  • Commit to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 3 Years of Relevant Experience
Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, or a related field
  • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Experience with SAP, WMS, TMS or ERP systems
  • Familiarity with Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, SQL or Python
  • Lean Six Sigma certification preferred

Location: Onsite-Johns Creek, Georgia

Schedule: 1st Shift: Monday - Friday
