Purpose of Position:

This position is an individual contributor who performs routine and some non-routine duties with a moderate to high degree of complexity. Responsibilities that coordinate and execute work activities of a designated small program or project ensure that the activities are in line with the organization's objectives and goals. May develop methods and procedures for implementing the program and educate/ communicate programmatic information. Convey information, including an explanation of the program, direction, problems, and potential solutions, to others. Reviews reports and records of activities to ensure progress is being accomplished toward the specified program objective. May exercise judgment and initiative in matters. Operates under direct to general supervision.

The Associate for International Program Administration provides operational, administrative, and programmatic support for Presbyterian Disaster Assistance's (PDA) international disaster response and recovery initiatives. The position manages international grant administration, supports partner engagement, coordinates financial and reporting processes, maintains grant databases, and strengthens collaboration across PC(USA) and international partners. Working closely with the International Associates and Manager, this role helps ensure effective stewardship of resources, timely humanitarian response, and strong accountability to partners and donors.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Provide leadership for the administration of international grants and coordination with the Grant Management Office by managing the grant lifecycle, supporting partners throughout the process, maintaining grant records, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements.

Communications and Reporting

Coordinate grant reporting and program communications by working with partners to prepare project summaries, impact stories, and updates that demonstrate transparency, accountability, and the impact of PDA's international ministry.

Oversee grant and program related financial processes, including budget monitoring, payment coordination, financial reporting, and collaboration with Finance and Accounting to ensure responsible stewardship of resources.

Program Coordination and Development

Support international disaster response and recovery programs by supporting the coordination of project implementation, monitoring progress, evaluating outcomes, and identifying opportunities for strategic engagement with humanitarian partners.

With Presbyterian Disaster Assistance International Program Manager and Associates, build and strengthen relationships with international partners and PC(USA) ministries to promote collaboration, effective humanitarian response, and long-term program development.

Representation and Organizational Support

Represent Presbyterian Disaster Assistance in meetings, trainings, and partner engagements while providing operational support to advance the goals and mission of the International Program.

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of experience in the programmatic field.
Required Skills:
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Suite (including Outlook, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, and Excel) and other appropriate software.
Helpful Skills:
  • Understanding and knowledge of PC(USA) and its organizational structure.
  • The ability to speak one or more languages other than English is very helpful.

Physical Requirement / Essential Functions
  • This is largely a sedentary position that may require occasional lifting up to 15 pounds. Requires the ability to see, hear, speak, type, write, walk, stand, bend, and lift
  • Sensory and physical requirements include the ability to communicate verbally in person and through technology and use the computer for extended periods of time. Ability to communicate via telephone, via Zoom, and other computer technologies required
  • Able to read and understand written materials.
  • Ability to communicate in a manner suitable to a church office environment
  • May require occasional overnight, out-of-town travel
  • Location:This is a full-time position working a minimum of 40 hours remotely from residence.
