Job summary

Archinect is seeking an Associate I to contribute to various projects by developing design and technical solutions. The role involves collaborating with project leaders, participating in client meetings, and ensuring project quality.

Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in high-end residential or commercial projects, alongside problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple requests professionally.

  • Knowledge of Building Code for basic design elements.
  • Complete understanding of all phases of architectural design process.

  • Collaborates with the team on the selection of finishes, fixtures, and project components.

Job description

Associate I participates in the development and execution of Firm’s various projects. Developing both design and technical solutions under the supervision of project leaders, Associate I’s work independently, but have robust design, technical, and managerial infrastructure to support their efforts. With essential professional experience, Associate I’s are able to develop multiple aspects of a project while also guiding Associates in the development of design proposals. Capable of liaising with technical consultants and participating in client meetings, Associate I’s are responsible for a range of responsibilities for the projects in which they are involved. Associate I’s interact and collaborate with the project leaders to maintain Firm’s standard for quality of work.

CAPABILITIES
  • Responsible for development of design options and features;
  • Undertakes research of specific design aspects of a project;
  • Responsible for the preparation of documents for local authority regulatory reviews with the guidance of project leaders;
  • Participates in consultant coordination with the guidance of project leaders;
  • Collaborates with the team on the selection of finishes, fixtures, equipment and other project components;
  • Responsible for components of project documentation with the guidance of project leaders;
  • Reviews shop drawings and submittals with the guidance of project leaders;
  • Attends site visits and participates in Construction Administration process;
  • Executes project report updates on critical design, technical and delivery issues at every phase of the project;
  • Understands project goals and deliverables for every phase of the project;
  • Informs teammates of progress and/or challenges to meeting project goals;
  • Develops agendas and tracks action items to completion;
  • Is able to absorb and implement the information presented in training targeted for Associate Is.
