We are looking for a talented and experienced Associate Interior Designer to join our team. You'll play a vital role in bringing client visions to life, contributing to high-end residential projects and select commercial spaces throughout the design process from concept development to final installation.
This position offers hands‑on experience developing your design skills, while working alongside us. You'll focus on technical execution and creative problem‑solving, ensuring every detail contributes to spaces that are both beautiful and functional.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design
- 1-3 years of experience in a professional residential design firm focusing on high‑end residential interiors
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Microsoft Suite
- Strong knowledge of textiles, furniture, lighting and materials
- Solid understanding of design process from concept through installation
- Excellent organizational skills and project management skills
- Ability to work in a deadline‑driven environment and adapt if needed
- The proper candidate will have excellent verbal and written communications skills, attention to detail, teamwork, organizational skills and unafraid to ask questions
- Maintains cooperative working relationships, internally and externally, and possesses entrepreneurial spirit and has forward‑thinking attitude
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Principal Designers through all phases of design, from concept development to project completion
- Prepare design presentations, assist with material selections, and complete project documentation
- Collaborate with clients, vendors, and contractors to ensure seamless execution
- Create floor plans, elevations, and renderings using design software
- Source furniture, fabrics, lighting, and accessories
- Participate in site visits, installations, and final styling
- Assist designers with site measures
- Tracking orders, expediting, and coordinating pick‑ups and deliveries with vendors
- Other job‑related duties as assigned to enhance the firm and office
Additional Requirements
- This role requires working in Statera’s office, client homes and on construction sites. Candidates must be comfortable in a variety of environments, including varying temperatures and noise levels.
- This position requires a valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation, as frequent travel to different locations is essential for the role.
- The position includes standing for extended periods, lifting and carrying materials, and completing detailed work at a computer.
- Occasional overtime, local travel, and overnight stays for market trips may be required. Candidates must maintain reliable attendance and adhere to schedules set by management.
