Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an Associate HMI Design Engineer to design, develop, modify and implement HMI software for generator control switchgear applications.

You will collaborate with Power System Engineers to test and fine-tune HMI programming and provide remote support for HMI installations. A strong working knowledge of HMI platforms such as Rockwell FactoryTalk, RSView, Vijeo, Crimson, Kepware, Applicom, and Wonderware is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in CS/CE/EE/ET.
• Experience designing, developing and testing HMI software.
• Familiar with multiple HMI platforms and PLC integration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Modify, convert and configure HMI programs per project.
• Verify and document test results for HMI software.
• Provide engineering support to production, helpdesk and field service.
• Configure lab PLC networks for HMI testing (Schneider/Allen-Bradley/Woodward).
