Job summary

The State of Connecticut is seeking an Associate Health Care Analyst to join the Office of the Commissioner in Hartford. The role focuses on analyzing budgets, expenditures, rate-setting, and health care program data within behavioral health and related facilities.

Responsibilities include financial management, reviewing eligibility and expenditures, and preparing complex reports to support policy decisions. A comprehensive background in health care finance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of professional experience in financial management.
• College training may substitute for experience as described in the substitutions.
• Master's degree may substitute for one additional year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes complex financial, statistical and technical data.
• Financial management including budgeting, auditing and accounting.
• Analyzes expenditures and rate-setting scenarios; develops methodologies.
• May review patient eligibility coverage and make recommendations for claims.
• Performs related duties as required.
