Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist with the review and update of existing policies and procedures for business; create and maintain support materials for Global Trade Compliance.
• Monitor and review export filings and reports generated by export compliance tools and through audit.
• Maintain records and draft reports related to corrective actions.
• Periodically audit HTS database.
• Perform audits for global Supply Chain transparency.
• Audit import entries and procedures; verify classification, valuation, origin, and documentation; ensure standard trade definitions are used.
• Conduct monthly Global Trade Awareness Training.
• Communicate product information to internal customers, Freight Forwarders, Customs Brokers, Suppliers and other groups.
• Apply continuous improvement for greater efficiency and cost savings.

Boeing Global Services (BGS) Distribution Business is looking for an Associate Global Trade Control Specialist (Level 2) to join our team in Hialeah, FL.

Global Trade Compliance Department is responsible for managing, supporting, enforcing programs, policies, training and practices to ensure the company follows federal, state, local and international regulatory requirements. This position will be responsible for supporting some of these programs.

Position Responsibilities:

• Assist with the review and update of existing policies and procedures for business; create and maintain support materials for Global Trade Compliance.


• Monitor and review export filings and reports generated by export compliance tools and through audit.


• Maintain records and draft reports related to corrective actions.


• Periodically audit HTS database.


• Perform audits for global Supply Chain transparency.


• Audit import entries and procedures, including verification of classification, valuation, country of origin, commercial invoice, documentation, and other government agency requirements; understand and ensure appropriate use of standard trade definitions most commonly used in international sales contracts.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor’s Degree – Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field of study


• 1+ years of experience in supply chain, sales, and/or accounting knowledge in the aerospace industries


• Experience with basic ERP system functionality such as Systems Applications and Processing (SAP)


• Experience with Export Administration Regulations (EAR)


• Experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)


• Experience participating in compliance assessment activities supporting global trade controls matters


• Project Management Experience
