Job summary

Distributed Sun (DSUN) seeks an experienced Associate General Counsel to lead the legal function for its Battery Energy Storage, solar, EV infrastructure and microgrid ventures. You will negotiate contracts, manage outside counsel, oversee tax equity financing, and steer M&A due diligence to support growth.

Based at our Washington, DC HQ with flexible days and remote options, you will partner with executives, ensure regulatory compliance, and build a high-performing legal team to position DSUN

Qualifications

• Strong negotiation and contract drafting skills.
• Experience with corporate transactions and tax equity financing.
• Proven ability to lead legal teams and manage external counsel.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations with customers, vendors, and other parties and manage contract lifecycle.
• Draft, review, and negotiate off-take and energy supply agreements.
• Provide legal support for financing incl. debt and tax equity, and oversee M&A due diligence.
• Lead corporate governance, tax, M&A, and transaction close processes.
