Job summary

Meals on Wheels America seeks an Associate General Counsel to deliver broad legal support to the CEO, executive team and staff. The role focuses on general corporate, nonprofit governance, labor, contracts, IP, healthcare compliance and data privacy, with governance and board liaison responsibilities.

In this hybrid Arlington, VA position, you will coordinate with outside counsel, monitor regulatory updates, and help build compliant processes across the organization to strengthen community

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school.

Responsibilities

• Provide broad legal counsel to the CEO, executive team and Board on corporate, governance, privacy, regulatory and nonprofit matters.
• Draft, analyze, and edit a wide range of contracts including corporate, employment, fundraising and partner agreements.
• Advise on labor and employment issues, tax, and compliance with healthcare, privacy and data security requirements.
• Oversee outside counsel, manage law office budgeting, and support enterprise compliance programs.
