Job summary

Pacifico Energy, a global energy infrastructure firm, seeks an Associate General Counsel to support a growing portfolio of power generation and data center projects. You will partner with development, finance, operations, HR, and executive leadership to advance projects from concept through construction and operation, and to support corporate transactions.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Approximately 4–5 years of relevant legal experience.
• Prior law firm experience.
• Experience with project and/or equipment finance transactions.
• Experience with corporate and M&A matters.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Business-minded, solutions-oriented approach.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements including NDAs, vendor, development, consulting, and services agreements.
• Support scalable templates, playbooks, and processes as the business grows.
• Identify legal and business risks and provide practical recommendations to internal stakeholders.
• Assist with project development and transaction-related legal matters across data center and power generation portfolio.
• Review strategic partnerships, joint development arrangements, and commercial transactions.
• Provide input on project structuring and risk allocation in collaboration with development and finance teams.
• Support corporate governance and entity management including board matters and filings.
• Coordinate with outside counsel on financing, M&A, real estate, regulatory, litigation, and corporate matters.
• Manage scope, budget, and timing of outside counsel engagements; translate legal advice for internal teams.
• Work cross-functionally to anticipate legal needs and provide practical solutions.
