The Role

Lumen an immediate need for an in-house employment attorney interested in joining a team of lawyers providing advice and counsel to human resources and business leaders related to employees, employment policies and compliance with local, state, and federal laws.

Location

This role is designated as fully remote, US.

The Main Responsibilities

• Provides legal counsel to the corporation; assesses and effectively manages legal risk; has deep understanding of the business, its objectives and risk tolerances.
• Provides legal advice, strategic direction, and potential solutions on employment issues to human resources and business leaders.
• Collaborates with business decision makers; builds strong relationships with clients as a trusted advisor.

What We Look For in a Candidate

• JD degree; in compliance with the rules, including licensing rules, of the State Bar in the state where the attorney is officed
• 8+years of legal practice
• Ability to quickly identify issues, communicatecorporate position and interact in a personal and effective manner
• Experience in employment law, including advising on all state and federal laws including Title VII, ADEA, ADA.

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location.

Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges:

$149,084 - $198,779 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.
$156,539 - $208,718 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.
$163,993 - $218,657 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
