Position Summary

Vitu is seeking a sharp, detail-obsessed legal professional to serve asAssociate General Counsel – Commercial & Contracts. This position is responsible for all contract-related matters, with a primary focus on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial and government agreements. The Associate General Counsel also leads the contract implementation team and champions our contract lifecycle management (CLM) processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of commercial, SaaS, government, and vendor agreements
  • Maintain standard templates (with version control) and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Provide risk assessments and practical legal guidance to business stakeholders
  • Lead implementation and optimization of CLM systems and workflows
  • Ensure consistent use of contract templates and terms
  • Identify process improvements and implement scalable legal operations practices
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to a team responsible for post-signature contract obligations and onboarding
  • Ensure accurate, timely execution of contract terms, including regulatory compliance, service delivery obligations, and performance tracking
  • Serve as legal partner to sales, operations, compliance, and product teams
  • Provide training and guidance on contract-related processes and best practices

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • 3–5 years of experience focused on commercial contracts, preferably in a SaaS, tech, or government services environment
  • Strong understanding of CLM platforms and contract operations
  • Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional legal operations or implementation teams
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Advanced proficiency with legal tech tools, document automation, and workflow systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in retail automotive and/or vehicle registration and titling industries a huge plus.
  • Salary: $165,000 – $180,000, depending on experience
  • Benefits: Robust medical, dental, vision, and retirement (401K) benefits; remote work flexibility.

Location

This position isfully remotewithin the United States. Travel may be required for team meetings or company events.
