Emerson is seeking an Associate General Counsel, Contracts, to lead the Contract Services function across the Americas. You will provide strategic contract guidance, legal support, and risk management, supervising Contracts Counsels and Practitioners to negotiate and close deals.

You will oversee complex international agreements, mentor staff, and partner with Sales, PM, and other stakeholders to mitigate risk while driving business results.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of work experience in a contracts-related role.
• Law Degree and licensed to practice law in the US or Emerson applicable jurisdiction.
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
• Excellent oral and written English language skills.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of contract law and principles.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, drafts and negotiates agreements and transaction documents in compliance with policies and standards, independently.
• Responds to customers' RFPs/RFQs and other contractual requests within guidelines.
• Drafts contractual language reflecting business interests and policies.
• Manages the Contract Services team and BU-wide requests in the Americas World Area.
• Leads complex international and multi-BU project contracts and frame agreements.
• Provides guidance to sales, project management and stakeholders; interfaces with customers and outside counsel.
