Job summary

The Bachrach Group is seeking an Associate General Counsel to lead sophisticated corporate transactions and governance matters for a fast‑growing investment management and finance platform in New York. You will work closely with senior leadership to navigate complex deals and regulatory issues across lending and investment activities.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years of corporate law experience, strong M&A and governance background, and a track record advising funds or asset managers.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with an active U.S. bar license.
• Approximately 8+ years of corporate legal experience, in‑house or law firm.
• Strong background in M&A, equity transactions, governance, and complex commercial matters.
• Experience advising investment funds or asset managers; familiarity with private credit or structured finance is a plus.
• Knowledge of securities regulations and transactional risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other corporate transactions from structuring through closing.
• Advise on corporate governance, entity formation, board/equity matters, and portfolio company oversight.
• Provide legal support to private funds and investment advisory operations, incl. fund governance and regulatory issues.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a broad range of commercial agreements; perform due diligence and advise on risk.
