Job summary

Qualifications

• 8+ years drafting and negotiating EPC and design-build agreements for energy projects.
• Experience in a law firm or in-house environment.
• Licensed to practice law in any US state.

• Collaborate with project teams to mitigate legal risks and ensure compliance.
• Provide strategic legal advice to GC and internal stakeholders.

Viridan Group is partnered with a well respected power and data center EPC firm, backed by one of the largest specialty contractors in the industry. They have extensive experience delivering large-scale power infrastructure projects, with active work across solar, wind, BESS, and utility‑scale generation. Their legal team is looking to hire a Associate General Counsel to lead the drafting and negotiating of EPC and design‑build agreements for large large power projects.

Requirements

• 8+ years drafting and negotiating EPC agreements and design‑build agreements for energy projects at a law firm or comparable in‑house environment
• License to practice law in any state in the US
• This is a hybrid role based in Houston, reporting to the General Counsel
