What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Plan, recommend, reserve, and execute the investigation, valuation, disposition, and settlement of large personal insurance property claims
- Ensure adherence to corporate claim settlement policies and statutory, regulatory, and ethics requirements
- Achieve fair, equitable, and timely claim dispositions while assessing indemnity and expense exposure of assigned claims
- Mentor Associate General Adjusters and Property Damage Adjusters
- Collaborate with team members and business partners to share knowledge and expertise
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a full file Claim Adjuster for complex property losses over $300,000 (for General Adjuster) or 3 years for moderately severe property claims (for Associate General Adjuster)
- Strong functional knowledge of residential claims and ability to interpret and apply insurance coverage
- College degree or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in cost estimation, preferably using Xactimate, and necessary computer competencies
- Disciplined time management and organizational skills; ability to function independently
