Job summary

PSI seeks an Associate, Fundraising to support the fundraising department with administrative, operational, and data management responsibilities. This role contributes to proposal development, capture planning, donor operations, and gifts processing, reporting to the Director of Fundraising.

The position splits time across Institutional Fundraising (50%), Individual Philanthropy (30%), and other priorities (20%), with limited international travel and a US-only remote eligibility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (or international equivalent) in a related field.
  • At least 3 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of international development and donor priorities preferred.
  • Knowledge of proposals to institutional donors and foundations.

Responsibilities

PSI seeks an Associate, Fundraising that will support the fundraising department with administrative, operational, and data management/analytics responsibilities. Contributes to fundraising success by supporting proposal development, capture planning, individual donor operations and gifts processing, and coordination. The Associate position reports to the Director of Fundraising and serves functions across all the Fundraising departments, with an estimated split as follows: 50% LOE to Institutional Fundraising, 30% LOE to Individual Philanthropy, and 20% other/TBD depending on the most urgent fundraising priorities.

Job Description

What You'll Do

  • Contribute to new business development by supporting the creation of proposals/pitches, capture planning, coordination, formatting, editing, research, drafting proposal sections, annexes, CVs, and past performance documentation.
  • Provide administrative, logistical, and coordination support across fundraising functions—including individual gifts processing, individual donor communication, opportunity identification (webchecks), operations, project management, and event planning—under the direction of the Scale, Philanthropy, and Private Sector & Innovative Funding teams.
  • Support data management and analytics by ensuring effective use of Salesforce, including data entry, task tracking, reporting, and producing data-driven insights and presentation materials.
  • Support data-driven and strategic fundraising analysis, including online research to conduct pipeline, funder, and competitor analyses for internal and Board audiences.
  • Lead smaller proposals, concept notes, and fundraising projects (internal capacity building, process improvement, etc.).

Qualifications

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree (or international equivalent) in a related field.
  • At least 3 years of related experience. An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted.
  • Knowledge of international development, international donor priorities and/or health areas preferred (such as FCDO, Gate Foundation, USG, corporate and foundation donors).
  • Familiarity with structure, content, and compliance elements of proposals to institutional donors and foundations (such as Gates Foundation, World Bank, FCDO, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, and its role in fundraising pipelines and donor management.
  • Proficiency in analyzing fundraising data and creating reports or dashboards using Excel, Salesforce, or other tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to think creatively and approach tasks or problems in a new or different way.
  • Ability to write clearly and persuasively, adapt tone to different audiences, and proofread for accuracy and clarity.
  • Capable of producing high-quality, error-free work in written documents and data entry.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills with keen attention to detail. Able to balance multiple projects, wear multiple hats, and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced and at times ambiguous environment.
  • Ability to independently manage tasks and lead smaller projects or proposals with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent collaboration, customer service, relationship building/management and consensus building skills. Able to respond calmly and confidently in any situation.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Office 365.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Fluent in English required; Professional working proficiency in French required

Salary Ranges:

PSI is committed to pay equity and transparency. We ensure pay meets the market within each country. This approach minimizes our impact on local talent markets and allows PSI to attract and retain employees, while staying cost-competitive.
Actual base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, experience, internal equity, external market analysis, and other business factors permitted by law. Hiring above the mid-point of the range below would not be typical in order to allow for potential future salary growth.
PSI is offering the following gross annual salary ranges for this position:

For the United States (paid in USD): $60,000 (minimum) - $71,000 (midpoint) - $82,000 (maximum)
