Job summary

University of California, Davis is recruiting an Associate/Full Professor of Agricultural Economics for a 9-month, tenured appointment with 20% I&R and 80% AES. The appointee will build an outreach and research program addressing California's farm economy, lead the Cost and Return studies, supervise staff, engage funders, and sustain extramural grants.

Teaching will include ARE 120, 138, 139, 155 and related graduate courses; mentoring graduate students and providing service at the department

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent in economics, agricultural economics, or a closely related discipline (degree awarded by start).
• Tenured track with evidence of leadership in outreach, research, and teaching.
• Experience with funding and managing external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Establish an outreach and research program in agricultural economics focused on California farm economy.
• Oversee Cost and Return studies and supervise research staff and grant activities.
• Teach 1–1.5 quarter-long courses per year as assigned by the chair.
• Advise graduate and undergraduate students and provide departmental service.
