Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks an Associate Finance Director to lead forecasting, financial modeling, and executive reporting within FP&A from a remote-capable location. You will partner with the VP of FP&A to shape insights and drive strategic decisions across the organization.

Required: 5+ years in FP&A or corporate finance, strong Excel skills, and ability to travel domestically. The role supports a flexible schedule within standard business hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related analytical roles.
• Experience with financial modeling and forecasting.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
• Experience preparing executive level reporting and commentary.
• Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time.
• Ability to work full-time; flexibility to work various shift schedules 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the quarterly forecast model, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and scalability.
• Gather, validate, and consolidate financial and operational data for upstream and executive reporting.
• Prepare initial financial and business commentary for forecasts, reviews, and leadership materials.
• Translate complex financial data into clear insights and narratives for senior leadership.
• Partner with business leaders to understand drivers of performance and forecast changes.
• Influence decision making through analysis, clear communication, and business acumen.
