Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector seeks an Associate Network Communications professional in Melbourne, FL to provide real-time support for Ground Systems during flight operations and maintenance. The role requires a Secret clearance and STIG compliance, with 25% travel.

Responsibilities include equipment deployment, troubleshooting, and cross-team collaboration to resolve connectivity issues. The candidate must lift up to 40 pounds and be able to work flexible shifts, including on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 4 years of network communications/administration experience; or an Associate’s Degree with 2 years; or a Bachelor’s with 0 years.
• Current CompTIA Security+ (or higher) certification.
• Experience with STIG compliance.
• Experience designing and maintaining LAN/WAN and Cloud networks.
• Experience configuring, installing, and maintaining network hardware.
• Experience configuring encryption devices (TACLANES).
• Experience using network analysis tools (Wireshark, Opnet, SolarWinds).
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Willing to work flexible schedule including extended shifts, holidays, weekends, and on-call 24/7/365.
• Ability to obtain/maintain final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time support for Ground Systems during flight operations and maintenance, addressing communications issues including fault isolation and resolution.
• Account for, control, and deploy equipment.
• Collaborate with partners to resolve connectivity and data movement issues between Ground Systems and external networks.
• Perform field integration, troubleshooting, and repair of communications systems in military environments.
• Follow checklists and procedures, and suggest improvements where needed.
• Support 24/7 on-site network operations for Ground Communications Interface.
• Provide local network management through updates, configurations, and security patches.
• Communicate complex technical issues to local support, MOBs, and REs.
• Assist with trend analysis for Responsible Engineers.
