Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector is seeking an Associate Network Communications professional to join the Melbourne, FL team. You will provide real-time support for Ground Systems during flight operations and maintenance, and manage deployment of equipment while coordinating with partners to resolve connectivity issues.

Successful candidates will have a qualifying combination of education and CompTIA Security+ certification, STIG experience, and strong LAN/WAN network skills.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED with 4 years of related experience, or an associate's degree with 2 years, or a bachelor’s degree with 0 years.
• Current CompTIA Security+ certification or higher.
• Experience with STIG compliance.
• Experience designing and maintaining LAN, WAN, and cloud networks.
• Experience configuring, installing, and maintaining network hardware.
• Experience configuring encryption devices (TACLANES).
• Experience with network analysis tools (e.g., WireShark, Opnet, SolarWinds).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time support for network Ground Systems during flight operations and maintenance.
• Account for, control, and deploy equipment.
• Collaborate with partners to resolve connectivity and data movement issues.
• Perform field integration, troubleshooting, and repair of communications systems in military environments.
• Ensure adherence to checklists and procedures; propose improvements as needed.
• Provide 24/7 on-site support for Ground Communications Interface operations.
