Job summary

The Boeing Company in Patuxent River Estates, Maryland, seeks an Associate Electrical Design and Analysis Engineer to support the V-22 Flight Control System. You will troubleshoot, load flight control software, participate in pre/post flight briefings, and contribute to system design across mechanical, hydro-mechanical, electronic, and software domains.

Qualifications

• Basic Qualifications: US Citizenship; ability to obtain US Security Clearance (Interim Secret Pre-Start and final Secret Post-Start)
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Aeronautical) or related fields; Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalents
• 1+ years of experience with fixed-wing and/or rotary wing aircraft platforms
• Experience in hardware systems test, lab testing, or systems engineering
• Experience in Flight Control Systems and aircraft systems integration
• Physical ability to evacuate an aircraft and work in confined areas

Responsibilities

• Develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements with customers
• Test and validate that designs meet operational and functional requirements
• Troubleshoot and sustain the V-22 Flight Control System across mechanical, hydro‑mechanical, electronic and software domains
• Load, configure, and verify flight control software and avionics configurations for test aircraft
• Participate in pre-flight and post-flight briefings; document findings and actions
• Diagnose flight test squawks and coordinate corrective actions with cross-functional teams
• Develop a systems-level understanding of FCS architecture, interfaces and performance
• Coordinate with government customers, test pilots and maintenance teams
• Produce technical reports, test logs and handover documentation

Education

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Aeronautical) or related fields
