Job summary

Boeing is seeking an Associate Electrical Design and Analysis Engineer in Patuxent, MD to support the V-22 Flight Control System.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, loading software, and documenting test findings while collaborating with government and civilian teammates in a test-flight environment.

This role requires a Bachelor's in engineering and the ability to obtain a US security clearance; travel to Philadelphia may be needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field such as Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical.
  • 1+ years of experience with fixed-wing or rotary-wing aircraft platforms.
  • Experience in hardware systems testing, lab testing or systems engineering.
  • Experience in Flight Control Systems.
  • Experience with aircraft systems integration (avionics, flight controls, mechanical).
  • Ability to evacuate an aircraft and work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
  • Test and validate system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and sustain the V-22 Flight Control System across domains.
  • Load, configure, and verify flight control software and avionics configurations.
  • Support pre-flight and post-flight briefings; document findings and actions.
  • Diagnose flight test squawks and coordinate corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and maintain a systems-level understanding of FCS architecture and interfaces.
  • Coordinate with government customers and test pilots in a team environment.
  • Produce clear technical reports, test logs, and handover documentation.
