Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions seeks an Associate Fire Alarm Inspector Intern to support inspection and maintenance of fire alarm systems, ensuring code-compliant operations. You will collaborate with sales, field project teams, and clients, logging inspection reports and aiding testing within budgets.

The role requires physical effort and adherence to safety programs. Ideal candidates are motivated to learn NFPA standards and OSHA 10 training, with strong communication and organizational skills to

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Interested in learning and growing in the fire-life safety industry.
  • Ability to obtain knowledge of NFPA code requirements.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and able to obtain OSHA 10 certifications.
  • Good organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Physically fit to perform demanding work, including lifting up to 25 lbs and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs; able to work from heights and climb ladders.

  • Assist with reviewing system layouts and coordinating with the systems and service departments for successful testing and inspection.
  • Assist with testing and maintaining fire alarm systems.
  • Assist with delivering testing on schedule and within cost budgets.

THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELLSciens Building Solutions is seeking an Associate Fire Alarm Inspector Intern to assist with inspection and maintenance capabilities. This position will work closely with our sales team, field project teams, and clients to ensure our customers’ systems are inspected and maintained in a code-compliant manner. This is a key position for our growing team and requires attention to detail in all aspects of executing projects. Customer and employee interface requires a high degree of effective human relations.
