Associate Financial Advisor

About this position

This position works in tandem with a Financial Advisor to maintain client relationships. The goal of this role is to offer custom advice in areas such as investment management and financial planning. The Associate Financial Advisor will be responsible for maintaining ongoing communications with clients, preparing meetings, creating financial plans, and performing related administrative tasks.

Work schedule

• Monday – Friday
• Hybrid; 4 days in office, 1 day work‑from‑home

Responsibilities

• Participate in client meetings in a capacity that may include taking notes, creating priority lists, drafting communications, delegating assignments, documenting history, and conducting quarterly calls with clients.
• Manage the planning process.
• Transition into lead advisor for certain clients when development has reached an appropriate level.
• Participate in and conduct client reviews, preparing plan revisions.
• Follow up on client issues and communicate in a timely manner.
• Place trades in client accounts according to BFG models promptly.
• Manage processes through Salesforce.
• Serve as a backup to other team members as needed.
• Learn and utilize all firm programs.

Requirements

• 2‑3 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably with some involvement in a similar role.
• Series 65 License or CFP required.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from staff, clients, and the general public.
• Excellent computer skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Salesforce and eMoney is a plus.
• Ability to seek out solutions and solve problems.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

The pay range for this role is $80,000 – $100,000 per year (Springfield, IL and Burlington, VT).
