Job description

Role Summary

We're hiring an Associate Financial Advisor on behalf of our client — a growing wealth management firm based in Belmont, NC. This is not a typical entry-level advisor role: rather than spending years prospecting and waiting for a book of business, this advisor will immediately begin servicing an existing group of client relationships. Reporting to and working alongside the firm's senior advisors, this person will take on real client responsibility from day one while building the technical and relationship skills to grow within the firm.

Core Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of a segment of the firm's existing client relationships and deliver an excellent client experience
  • Work alongside experienced advisors, gradually assuming greater responsibility
  • Meet with clients to understand their goals and help deliver thoughtful financial planning and investment advice
  • Manage day-to-day client needs while deepening relationships over time
  • Identify and act on cross-sell opportunities, including annuity reviews, long-term care, life insurance, and brokerage solutions
  • Collaborate with the broader advisory team to deliver well-rounded client solutions
  • Continue developing technical, planning, and relationship-management skills
Candidate Profile
  • 3+ years of experience in financial advising, wealth management, financial planning, or a related client-facing role
  • Comfortable taking ownership and being coached rather than arriving with a fixed approach
  • A natural relationship-builder who wants to grow a long-term career providing client service, rather than a business-development-focused path
  • Series 65 or 66 required; CFP or CPA credentials are a strong plus
  • Life and health licensing preferred but not required
Compensation and Benefits
  • Base salary of approximately $80,000 to $95,000, depending on experience
  • Commission incentives, with on-target total compensation around $110,000
  • Meaningful long-term earning potential as client relationships and responsibilities grow
  • 401(k) plan
Work Environment and Culture

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Belmont, NC.
