We are currently looking for an Associate Field Technician/Field Technician/Sr. Field Technician to work in our Houma, LA location.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for carrying out daily operations and maintenance tasks associated with the compressor station and pipeline activities, and to assist with operations and maintenance of Gulf South Pipeline facilities located in the Houma, LA operating area. The role involves ensuring environmental health & safety and reliable natural gas transmission through the pipeline system. Specific duties include valve inspection and maintenance, tank gauging, pipeline locating, pipeline patrolling, gas sampling, damage prevention, one-call notifications, corrosion control, preventive pipeline maintenance, and operations related to meter stations, valve sites, and right of way maintenance. The position also involves gas quality monitoring and assisting with construction and repairs of pipelines and facilities. Responsibilities include recognizing and reporting abnormal and safety-related conditions, accident and near-miss reporting, emergency responses, and ensuring regulatory compliance with DOT, industry standards, manufacturer, and company guidelines. The candidate will learn and operate within the Houma area and participate in the on-call rotation for pipeline operations and emergency responses. Living within 30 miles of Houma, LA, is required for prompt response to call outs. Completion of Core Blocks in Safety, Environmental, and Company policies is expected.
