Job description

About the Job

The Deployment Associate at Radar plays a critical role in the successful deployment of RADAR technology in retail stores. A successful candidate will possess a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Deployment Associates at Radar are responsible for the end‑to‑end deployment lifecycle of a store portfolio within their region. This isn’t a handoff role. You’ll oversee your stores from start to finish: from coordinating with external partners before a technician sets foot on site, to ensuring the installations are completed on schedule, and completing a final QA assessment and sign‑off.

Responsibilities

Deployment Operations:

  • Pre‑Installation Coordination: Communicate with external partners and stakeholders to ensure alignment on tasks, timelines, and requirements for upcoming installations.
  • Project Execution: Collaborate with the Deployment Lead, as well as Operations and Support teams, to ensure stores are completed efficiently and in line with Radar standards.
  • Feedback Loop: Serve as an invaluable resource to field crews, providing input and feedback on deployment procedures to improve our workflows.
Quality Assurance
  • Conduct Checks: Perform quality checks on installations, both remotely and in‑person, to confirm they meet Radar’s standards.
  • Document Findings: Keep detailed records of any issues encountered and track them through resolution.
  • Process Adherence: Ensure all deployment activities closely follow established procedures and guidelines.
Training and Development
  • Participate in training sessions to deepen understanding of RADAR technology and deployment procedures.
  • Skill Development: Continuously develop technical skills through hands‑on experience and training.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Assist in training new Deployment Associates, vendor partners, and other team members involved in the deployment process by sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Documentation: Contribute to documenting procedures and guidelines, and assist with ongoing revisions and improvements to the documentation.
Safety and Compliance
  • Follow Safety Protocols: Adhere to all safety standards and protocols during installations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Compliance Checks: Ensure all installations comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Incident Reporting: Report any safety incidents or compliance issues to the Deployment Lead immediately.
Required
  • You have some experience in technology deployment or a related field, preferably within retail environments.
  • You have a basic understanding of hardware installations and technical troubleshooting.
  • You have strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • You are able to work well in a team and follow directions from senior team members.
  • You have good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • You are willing to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
  • You are able to multitask and work in a dynamic environment.
Preferred
  • You have previous experience with RFID technology.
  • You are willing to work weekends, nights, and holidays, as needed.
First 30 Days
  • Learn about Radar’s mission, history, and technology.
  • Meet key team members and understand their roles.
  • Participate in training sessions on RADAR technology and deployment procedures.
  • Assist in a few deployment projects under the guidance of senior team members.
First 60 Days
  • Take a more active role in deployment projects, handling installation tasks independently.
  • Continue learning from senior team members and asking questions.
  • Start identifying areas for personal improvement and seek feedback from the Deployment Operations Leads and peers.
  • Communicate with team members to walk through resolutions and manage escalations.
First 90 Days
  • Begin taking ownership of your assigned store portfolio by completing tasks, managing quality assurance, and ensuring installations meet Radar’s standards.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving deployment processes.
  • Contribute to improving deployment processes and documentation.
  • Evaluate personal progress and set goals for the future with input from the Deployment Operations Leads.
