Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking an Associate Executive Director to oversee daily operations at a YMCA location, drive strategy, and lead staff and volunteers in delivering high-quality programs and services. You will manage budgets, develop staff, foster partnerships, ensure safety, and advance the branch’s goals in alignment with the Metro-wide plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years progressive departmental management experience
• 2+ direct people management experience
• Experience managing a budget
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• CPR certification within 30 days of employment

Responsibilities

• Operate a YMCA location and model the association's values and strategic direction.
• Lead member involvement and relationship-building strategies to increase participation.
• Promote the Y in the local community and develop partnerships with organizations and government entities.
• Develop and direct high-quality, relationship-based member engagement strategies.
• Assist in developing and controlling branch budgets and maintain budget goals.
• Provide training programs for staff and carry primary responsibility for staff development.
• Develop, maintain, and prepare reports for staff and committees.
• Oversee expenses approvals, emergency decisions, and issues requiring immediate attention.
• Lead the branch's strategic positioning to meet Metro-wide goals.
• Supervise staff and volunteers to foster an exceptional culture.
• Oversee facility management and ensure high-quality facilities and equipment.
