Job summary

Monarch Communities in New York is seeking an Associate Executive Director to oversee daily operations and support the Executive Director. The role focuses on resident wellbeing, regulatory compliance, and financial stewardship in a salaried environment.

Salary range is $100,000–$110,000 per year. Ideal candidate has healthcare leadership experience, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to manage budgets and drive occupancy growth.

Qualifications

  • College degree required or preferred.
  • LPN NJ license and/or Med Tech certification a plus.
  • Prior leadership experience in healthcare preferred.
  • Experience in managing operating expenses and staffing budgets.
  • Sales or business development experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to lead a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business strategy to meet operational and financial targets.
  • Manage state, federal, and company regulatory compliance.
  • Lead and engage residents, families, and associates with strong communication.
  • Oversee financial management of the community and drive occupancy/revenue targets.
  • Perform human resources functions: recruitment, development, and discipline.
  • Lead Sales and Marketing to exceed occupancy targets.
  • Occasional weekend coverage as Manager on Duty.

Job Description
Reports To

The Associate Executive Director will report to the Executive Director. The Associate Executive Director is an exempt, salaried position.

Job Overview

The Associate Executive Director will oversee daily operations while supporting the Executive Director. Leads all aspects of the community operations, revenue generation, staff development, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and safety. Creates a culture that focuses on the residents, families, and associates.

Salary Range: $100,000 – $110,000 Yearly

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Develop and execute business strategy to excel operational and financial targets
  • Manage state, federal, and company regulatory compliance
  • Demonstrate effective communication, lead by example, ensure outstanding attention to detail in the care and wellbeing of all residents.
  • Ensure positive engagement of residents, associates, and family members by maintaining a positive, open-door culture.
  • Demonstrate effective communication, lead by example, ensure outstanding attention to detail.
  • Set standards for quality assurance and ensure compliance with state regulations and company policies.
  • Have direct responsibility for the financial management of the community

  • Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications
Physical Abilities
  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
  • An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents. The associate must use proper body mechanics.
