Job summary

Seaway Plastics is seeking an Estimator/Accountability specialist to drive new business and respond to RFQs. Read prints, 3D CAD files, and technical docs to prepare estimates and tooling quotes.

You will gather project scope, track quotes in CRM, and support program management and sales to identify growth opportunities. Travel up to 5%.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused with CRM and sales support experience.
• Ability to work with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of operations: scheduling, procurement, and quality systems.
• Experience with manufacturing environments is a plus.
• Willingness to travel +/- 5%.

Responsibilities

• Read prints, technical documents, and 3D CAD files to prepare estimates
• Gather information related to the RFQ; define scope of project
• Estimate/quote tooling and production opportunities
• Support Program Management and Sales to identify growth opportunities
• Follow-up on new/existing opportunities and interact with customers
• Collect and analyze data for profitability and accuracy
• Track quotes, updates, reports, and CRM entries
• Set up new jobs and track workflows
• Maintain CRM data and reporting for management decisions

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• New business sales/new customer development
• Establish project scope obtaining information from customer on RFQ
• Preparing all related information prior to executing quoting activity
• Engineering related quotes and pricing updates
• Vendor pricing and lead times at time of RFQ

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Read prints, technical documents, and 3D CAD files to prepare estimates
• Gathering information related to the RFQ; Scope of project
• Estimating/quoting new tooling and production opportunities
• Support Program Management and Sales Team to identify key growth opportunities.
• Follow-up on new/existing business development/opportunities and interact with customers.
• Collect and analyze data against labor, materials, and time for profitability and accuracy.
• Work with Sales and Management tracking competitive trends and competition offerings.
• Setup processes: New Job Setup
• Track incoming and outgoing quotes, updates, reports, and working within CRM

• Pursuing advanced learning within manufacturing; Ex. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• Experience in Plastics Injection Molding manufacturing environment a plus
