Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or in final year of coursework toward a Bachelor's degree (proof of graduation required).
  • Knowledge of civil engineering principles and district regulations; strong problem solving and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet, word processing and design software; ability to read complex plans and specs.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate customer complaints regarding sewer backups, storm water, and related issues.
  • Provide information to the public or officials about collection systems.
  • Manage the Sewer Separation Program and initiate work orders for devices to alleviate backups.
  • Provide CCTV review and coding for QA of in-house inspections.
  • Assist with engineering support to Operations staff and coordinate inter-divisional communications.
  • Maintain records and prepare reports; perform related tasks as delegated by supervisors.
