Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) in Pullman, WA, offers an Engineering Rotation Program designed for students nearing degree completion. The program provides exposure to electrical engineering disciplines, cross-functional collaboration, and rotations across three divisions over 18 months.

As a participant, you will design, build, manufacture, sell, teach, and support products through development and customer implementation, while earning full-time wages and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
  • Self-motivated with continuous desire to learn and find solutions.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Background check results satisfactory to SEL.
  • Negative drug test result(s).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a detailed understanding of electric power systems and how to protect, monitor, automate, and control the power system.
  • Conceive and develop concepts for new product ideas and enhancements.
  • Prepare and maintain product documentation, including data sheets, instruction manuals, project notebooks, design and test documentation.
  • Provide engineering support for customers, product managers and field application engineers.
  • Complete assigned work using established procedures and working under immediate supervision.
  • Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
  • Understand. Create. Simplify.
  • Other duties as assigned.
