LinkedIn in Manassas, VA is seeking an Associate Data Center Hardware Engineer for a full-time, on-site position. The role focuses on ensuring reliability of LinkedIn's global infrastructure and coordinating with contracted data center technicians.
The engineer will perform break-fix repairs, conduct Linux and IPMI troubleshooting, install SSDs/NVMe drives, and mentor contractors. On-call rotation is required to support worldwide data center operations.

This role will be based in Manassas, VA.
At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is on‑site, meaning it will be performed in the specified office on a full‑time basis due to the business needs of the team.
This role may require working evening or overnight shifts (3:00 PM – 12:00 AM or 11:00 PM – 8:00 AM).
The Associate Data Center Hardware Engineer is a hands‑on technical role focused on ensuring the reliability and performance of LinkedIn’s global infrastructure. This position is responsible for executing hardware break‑fix activities, providing advanced troubleshooting support, and serving as an escalation point for contracted data center technicians. In addition to performing direct repair work, the role partners with vendors, mentors contract staff, and drives consistency in service delivery across all LinkedIn data center operations.

The pay range for this role is $74,000 to $122,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
