Job summary

United Integrated Services Corp. (UIS) is seeking an Associate Engineer - Cleanroom to design, implement, and maintain Cleanroom systems for advanced semiconductor facilities in Arizona.

You will ensure compliance with industry standards and coordinate with cross-functional teams across engineering, construction, and project management. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 0–5+ years’ Cleanroom experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cleanroom Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
  • 0–5+ years of experience in Cleanroom system planning.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Primavera or similar engineering software.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Classify client requirements and coordinate design reviews for Cleanroom systems.
  • Define scope of work and clarify specifications with stakeholders.
  • Assist procurement and contractors’ awards for Cleanroom equipment.
  • Interpret isometrics, P&ID and CAD drawings for Cleanroom systems.
  • Review and oversee installation of Cleanroom systems.
  • Monitor progress, costs, and schedules; adjust as needed.
  • Prepare RFIs and change orders responses.
  • Produce regular reports for clients and internal use.
  • Identify and solve project problems.
  • Coordinate scheduling and schedule execution.
  • Review drawings and estimation specifications.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Summary:

We are searching for an Associate Engineer - Cleanroom to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Cleanroom systems in a cleanroom environment, ensuring compliance with semiconductor production regulations and standards. Experience in Cleanroom construction is highly desired.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform requirements classification of clients, communicating project requirements and design review with internal & external design team for Cleanroom system.
  • Perform the required scope of work and clarify specification with stakeholders.
  • Assist procurement team on Cleanroom systems equipment & materials’ and assist in contractors’ awards.
  • Understand isometrics, P&ID and CAD drawings specifically for Cleanroom systems.
  • Review, approve and oversee the installation of Cleanroom systems.
  • Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms with specifications and assure adherence to construction schedules.
  • Review progress reports, materials used and costs, contract payment application, and adjust work schedules as indicated by the reports.
  • Review & reply RFI (Request for information) and change orders.
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports for internal use and client communication.
  • Identify and solve problems.
  • Scheduling and schedule execution.
  • Understand drawing and review specifications and estimation.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Cleanroom Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 0-5+ years of experience Cleanroom system planning.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong understanding of Cleanroom construction processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Ability to use engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Primavera, or others.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • High level of attention to detail, and highly organized.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities depending on project needs. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, and employees.
  • Ability to develop and maintain successful relationships with all levels of employees, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude.
  • Ability to work in a construction site environment (trailer office).
  • Effective English verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin/Taiwanese is a plus.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and employees.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence.
Nice to have:
  • Verbal communication skills in Mandarin.
  • Professional Engineer license.
Additional Requirements:
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. May be required to travel to other sites within Arizona to perform certain work functions. International travel may be required.
