Generac in Wisconsin seeks an Associate Engineer to support the Engineering Lab with test equipment, fixtures, calibration, and data acquisition under limited supervision. You will collaborate with engineering teams to define needs, document work, create procedures, and help improve lab processes in an ISO 17025 environment.
Candidates should have a high school diploma and experience with electrical/mechanical test equipment and data acquisition. An associate degree is preferred.

The Associate Engineer is responsible for providing support to the Engineering lab regarding test equipment, test setup, facility needs, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and Data Acquisition under limited supervision. Partnering with Engineering and other Lab functions to determine specific test equipment and resource needs to support test execution. Should be able to communicate effectively, document work, create procedures, design, and build test fixtures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma.
15 Years relevant work experience, or 12 years of relevant experience and an Associate Degree in related field.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Proficiency in proper use and application of various hand and power tools.
Proficiency in use of basic and advanced electrical and mechanical test equipment.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate degree in related field.
Proficiency working with thermocouples, pressure sensors, and other electrical & mechanical sensors.
Knowledge with internal combustion engine assemblies.
2 years in fields related to the type of products Generac produces.
Proficiency working with Data Acquisition Systems.
Knowledge of ISO 17025
Experience in welding & shaping sheet metal
Experience participating in a team-based environment with some project leadership experience.
Experience in electrical generation devices and related components.
Experience in mechanical or electrical related field.
Experience in electrical loading and AC & DC power generation systems.
Experience in electrical & mechanical design, componentry, and ability to create and interpret schematics & blueprints.
