The Kinetic Group in Lonoke, Arkansas, is seeking an Associate Electrical Controls Engineer. This entry-level role focuses on developing, programming, and integrating automation technologies, including PLC/HMI programming, and supports control system design.

You will work with C, C#, C++, and Python to build solutions, assist with testing and documentation, and collaborate with engineering, IT, and operations to drive improvements and data integration across MES/SCADA systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Fundamental programming experience in C, C++, C#, or Python.
• Basic PLC programming concepts knowledge (Allen Bradley or Red Lion preferred).
• Exposure to HMI development or industrial communication protocols is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and understand control systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and program automation solutions using C, C#, C++, and Python.
• Support PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen Bradley, Red Lion).
• Integrate control systems with manufacturing equipment and related software.
• Develop HMI screens and operator interfaces.
• Test, debug, and validate automated systems.
• Document wiring diagrams, code comments, and configuration control.
• Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify improvements.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to support project requirements.
• Integrate machine data with MES/SCADA/IT systems for traceability and analytics.
• Collaborate with engineering, IT, and operations to develop proof-of-concept scalable solutions.
