This position supports off-shift hours and will follow a consistent schedule with some flexibility based on production needs:EHS Operations (60%)
Partner with teams across the site to identify risks and implement effective solutions.
Conduct ergonomic assessments, compliance audits, and inspections to ensure workplace safety.
Support injury investigations, ensuring causal factors are identified and prevention measures implemented.
Drive continuous improvement by integrating EHS practices into lean enterprise strategies.
Contribute to site environmental compliance efforts, including air emissions, water discharge, and waste management reporting.
Culture & Communication (15%)
Promote a collaborative culture focused on proactive problem-solving and open communication.
Act as a trusted resource for operations teams, providing guidance on compliance and risk management.
Management Systems & Compliance (25%)
Develop and implement sustainable EHS management systems.
Standardize high-risk processes such as overhead crane operations, lockout/tagout, and ergonomics.
Requirements:
1–2 years of experience in EHS roles, including environmental, safety, or ergonomics programs.
Actively pursuing a BS or BA in Supply Chain, Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in a relevant discipline.
Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and DOT HMT regulations.
Experience working in a unionized environment.
Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
Working Conditions:
Manufacturing environment with frequent walking and occasional lifting (up to 30 lbs).
Use of safety equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and hard hats required.
Hours: Off-shift support, including evening and weekend shifts. Initial training will follow a Monday–Friday day shift schedule.
Travel: Up to 10%.
