The Atlantic is seeking an ambitious talent booker to join the newsroom in New York or Los Angeles. You will assist with securing and coordinating high-profile interviews across the magazine, website, podcasts, and other platforms, reporting to a managing editor.

The ideal candidate is resourceful, organized, nimble, persuasive, and collaborative, with proactive communication, diplomatic and research skills. Booking experience is a plus; Guild position.

Responsabilités

• Serve as a point of contact for editors, producers, and other newsroom leaders seeking to identify and book high-profile interview subjects and guest talent
• Negotiate contracts and releases in coordination with the legal team where appropriate
• Facilitate logistics for virtual and on-site appearances, including coordination with editors, producers, as well as the editorial operations and building management teams
• Build a rolodex of existing and potential contacts
• Create and maintain tracking systems for upcoming interviews for internal awareness and cross-team coordination
• Assist with other pre- or post-production logistics as needed
