We are hiring for Associate Echocardiograph Technologist position at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK!

Position is Full Time, 0.9 FTE, Variable Shift, 36 hours per week.

Under general supervision of the Operations Manager, Senior Echo sonographers and according to established policies and procedures, performs echocardiograms to produce diagnostic data assessing heart function and capability to be used by the cardiologist to enhance the care and treatment of the patient. In doing so, obtains pertinent patient information and explains the purpose and duration of testing to the patients. Reviews results and arranges reports for physician review. Provides other diagnostic testing within scope of practice.

Required qualifications:
  • Coursework/Training: Successful completion of an accredited Echo sonography program.
  • Upon hire: National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Or
  • Upon hire: National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • 6 months Experience as a sonographer
