Role Overview:

The Team:

You will join the Long-Term Disability (LTD) Claims team within our Group Insurance Business, with teams based in NJ, ME, AZ, and fully remote settings.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage an assigned caseload of approximately 95-100 Long-Term Disability claims, providing excellent customer service via phone, email, and text.
  2. Assess claims by reviewing medical records, applying policy provisions, and collaborating with medical and vocational resources.
  3. Document claim information clearly and concisely.
  4. Perform financial calculations and utilize clinical resources as needed.
  5. Demonstrate attention to detail, time management, and adaptability.
  6. Support a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  7. Proficiently use PC programs such as Excel and Word.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience in customer interaction and problem-solving.
  • Flexible and capable of exercising sound judgment.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • PC skills in Windows environment.
  • College degree and prior claim experience.

Technical Requirements for Remote Work:

  • High-speed internet (minimum 3.0 Mbps downstream, 768 Kbps upstream), wired connection preferred.
  • Ability to handle calls via cell phone (unlimited data/minutes) or landline, with login to Avaya.
  • Quiet, distraction-free workspace at home.

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this role is from $43,600 to $64,800, depending on location, experience, and skills. Benefits include:
