Job summary

George Mason University seeks an Associate Director, Technology Services to provide operational oversight of CASO and IT services for the university's electronic security systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing IT projects, including planning, resource leveling, cost/budget planning, and scope management.
• Experience with access control and security camera systems; experience with servers and system integrations.
• Demonstrated experience in SQL Server database, including application development; Windows desktop and server environments.
• Knowledge of best practices in IT management; strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage projects with documentation, plans, schedules, budgets, and quality assurance.
• Oversee design, development, and maintenance of assigned systems within ABS enterprise systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and university policies for IT operations.
• Lead and mentor staff, participate in on-call rotations for outages, and support departmental events.
• Develop and enforce documentation standards and security policies; ensure audits and risk analyses are conducted.
