Job summary

New York University's Kanbar Institute of Film & Television seeks an Associate Director, Strategic Industry & Alumni Engagement to develop strategies that strengthen community, alumni engagement, and sustainable impact. You will cultivate relationships with alumni, industry professionals, faculty, and external partners to create career, internship, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for students and recent graduates.

You will serve as a liaison with the industry community.

Qualifications

Position Summary

The Associate Director, Strategic Industry & Alumni Engagement develops and executes strategies to strengthen community and alumni engagement, collaboration, and sustainable impact across the Kanbar Institute of Film & Television. Develop and cultivate relationships with alumni, industry professionals, faculty, and other external partners to create career, internship, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for students and recent alumni. Serve as a key liaison between the Institute and the professional community.

Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's Degree Arts or entertainment administration, film/media, or related field

Required Experience:5+ years in industry relations, career development, business development or film/media industry related field.

Preferred Experience:5+ years Strategic partnership building, contract management, data-driven decision making, and cross-discipline project management

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Proven track record of developing and executing successful engagement strategies. Demonstrated ability to translate strategic concepts into executable programs. Ability to think strategically and creatively and to identify opportunities for collaboration and growth. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Knowledge of industries relevant to the Kanbar Institute of Film and Television, including business, finance, professional development, and emerging technologies. Familiarity with database management systems. Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic creative environment.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $90,000.00 to USD $110,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
