The role requires five years in Sterile Processing with leadership experience, national SPD certification, and the ability to drive quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across Perioperative Services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working knowledge.
• Requires national certification as an SPD Technician and complete manager or leader certification within two years.
• Requires five years Sterile Processing experience including knowledge of surgical instrumentation, patient related supplies, materials and equipment, aseptic and sterilization techniques.
• Must possess effective organizational, communication and human relations skills as the incumbent will coordinate projects simultaneously and working closely with all levels of staff.
• Requires computer skills and the ability to research and compile statistical reports.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Central Sterile Processing department.
• Lead staff and ensure quality sterile processing standards.
• Collaborate with Perioperative Services and hospital departments to align goals.
• Manage departmental plans and financial objectives to improve efficiency and compliance.
