Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. in the United States seeks an Associate Director to advance student potential by collaborating with teachers to deliver individualized services and supports in special and alternative education settings.

In this role you will monitor student behavior, track progress, communicate with families, supervise staff, ensure IEP adherence, and cultivate strong relationships with districts while upholding program quality and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Requires credentials in education or a related field.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Extensive experience with students with serious emotional disabilities preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office preferred.
• Willingness to undergo a background check per local law/regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that all students are educated in accordance with their IEPs.
• Observation of classrooms regularly (formal and informal).
• Weekly staff meetings for information sharing and issue discussion.
• Attend Regional activities and Director’s Meetings.
• Monthly Goal Review with Supervisor; demonstrate growth.
• Report facilities issues to the appropriate department.
• Communicate with parents, supervisors, and district personnel.
• Involve parents regularly and provide parent education events.
• Ensure health, safety and well-being policies are followed per licensing.
• Forge and maintain stakeholder relationships with district officials and families.
