Job summary

DTCC is seeking an Associate Director of Database Engineering for Snowflake to lead strategic data initiatives and strengthen our data foundation. You will drive performance improvements, enable scalable data solutions, and align technology with business objectives across the enterprise.

In this hybrid role, you will integrate Snowflake with IAM, monitor with observability tools, and collaborate with multiple teams to deliver secure, cost-efficient data platforms using CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Integrate Snowflake with IAM (Azure AD, Hashicorp Vault).
• Integrate Snowflake monitoring to observability tools (Splunk, Grafana, Dynatrace).
• Work with Linux batch scheduling (Autosys or equivalent).
• Apply FinOps concepts for cost/performance optimization.
• Administer Snowpark containers, Snowpipe streaming, and Cortex AI services.
• Package new Snowflake features for enterprise use.
• Validate non-functional requirements (DR, backup).
• Collaborate with app teams for seamless integration.
• Use CI/CD tools (GitLab, Bitbucket, Jenkins).
• Perform Snowflake & AWS admin via Terraform/Ansible.
• Provide escalated support and consulting.
• Develop documentation, training, and job aids.
• Support DR and operational rotation activities.
• Report defects and coordinate fixes with Snowflake.
