Compass Pathways is seeking an Associate Director, Scientific Communications to optimize and lead the Scientific Communications function within Medical Affairs. You will translate emerging clinical data into clear, rigorous communications, owning publications, congress materials, slide decks, FAQs, and medical education resources.

You'll partner across Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, HEOR, Regulatory, Legal, and Field Medical to improve publication and congress planning, enabling timely,

Qualifications

• Advanced scientific degree in relevant discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in Medical Affairs, Scientific Communications, Publications, or related field.
• Experience leading publication planning and execution (manuscripts, abstracts, posters, presentations).
• Exceptional scientific writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Leadership experience in Scientific Communications is preferred.
• Experience in psychiatry, neuroscience, or CNS areas preferred.
• Launch or pre-commercial experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Drive the defined Scientific Communications plans within Medical Affairs.
• Partner with leadership to develop integrated Scientific Communications strategy.
• Identify opportunities to improve scientific information communication.
• Vendor selection and engagement with external thought leaders.
• Lead publication planning and execution across Medical Affairs portfolio.
• Refine publication planning processes and governance.
• Develop manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations with internal and external authors.
• Monitor publication timelines and identify risks and dependencies.
• Lead scientific planning for major medical congresses.
• Develop high-quality scientific communications with the Field Medical organization.
• Translate complex data into engaging communications for diverse audiences.
• Own and evolve Scientific Communications Platforms (TRD and PTSD).
