Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Scheduler Lead - Associate Director with a strong track record in managing scheduling on large construction projects. You will work within an integrated planning, cost and risk environment to optimize resources and complete work within budget and time constraints.

Qualified candidates have 8+ years in scheduling, experience with Primavera P6.0+ and Microsoft Project, and demonstrated ability to coordinate across stakeholders and respond to RFPs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a construction-related field.
  • 8+ years of scheduling experience in construction.
  • Experience in complex, fast-paced multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6.0+ and MS Project.
  • Ability to respond to RFPs and support wider business initiatives.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, written, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead scheduling on projects or programs within an integrated planning, cost and risk environment.
  • Ensure scheduling methodology is followed and baselines are developed.
  • Develop milestone and progress tracking baselines.
  • Assess subcontractor scheduling compliance.
  • Contribute to Work Breakdown Structure to support performance measurement.
  • Analyze schedule data for trends and issues; communicate with Project Director and team.
  • Lead schedule reporting, forecasts and contingency management for work packages.
  • Ensure alignment of contractor and integrated schedules/milestones.
  • Evaluate resource availability and recovery options.
  • Support SOX control responsibilities where applicable.

Job Description

Turner & Townsend is looking for an Scheduler Lead -Associate Director to join our team. This individual will have strong leadership skills and proven track record of successfully manage scheduling on prior projects or programs. Qualified candidates will come from a background supporting large construction projects.

Responsibilities
  • Work in an integrated planning, cost and risk environment within the project to optimize the use of available resources to complete work plan scopes within budget and time constraints.
  • Ensure that the established planning and scheduling methodology is followed in developing the project schedule.
  • Develop Project Milestone and Progress tracking baselines.
  • Assess subcontractor compliance with established scheduling methodology.
  • Contribute to the development of the Work Breakdown Structure to support project performance measurement.
  • Perform analysis of schedule data; identify trends, issues, and areas requiring attention and communication to the Project Director and Team.
  • Communicate and collaborate with both internal and external clients on the project schedule.
  • Contribute to the coaching and mentoring of the planning team
  • Lead schedule reporting, including schedule forecast updates and schedule contingency management for specific work packages.
  • Lead schedule updates, analysis, and reports in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with contractor schedules with the integrated schedules/milestones.
  • Analyze resource requirements and availability impacts on the schedule and recommend recovery options.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.
  • Graduate degree in quantity surveying, cost management, construction management, or engineering is preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience working in a scheduling role in the construction industry.
  • Experience working in complex, fast paced, multi-stakeholder environments which require proactive coordination to ensure project/program success.
  • Practical exposure to network planning structures and techniques, experienced user of Primavera Project Planner 6.0 or above, and Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to assist with wider business initiatives as needed, including responding to RFPs.
  • Demonstrates excellent presentation, verbal, written, organizational, and communication skills.
Additional Information

The salary range for this full-time role is $140K-$1200K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
