Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking an Associate Director, Safety Analysis Scientist. The role is hybrid and based in the U.S. with on-site work three days per week across locations including NJ and PA.

You will lead safety evaluations, collaborate with MSO and SMT, and ensure regulatory and safety standards are met while guiding junior staff. The position requires a strong background in medical writing or PV, English communication, and ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare-related or Biomedical Science with extensive industry experience.
• Advanced degree preferred with substantial experience in safety analysis or pharmacovigilance.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety evaluations and write reports with minimal revisions.
• Collaborate with MSO/TASH and SMT to shape safety strategy and data reviews.
• Provide input on regulatory or clinical documents and lead training where needed.
• Support health authority interactions and manage safety deliverables.
• Mentor team members and oversee complex reports and audits.
